History of A-1 Concrete Leveling & Foundation Repair Central PA
In 1989 we started out as a small masonry and concrete contractor. Typical projects included the construction of foundations, fireplaces, and chimneys. We soon began to engage in work that included the repair of sunken slabs, cracked basement walls, and wet basements.
The demand for this type of work was high and there were no local contractors with the knowledge and equipment to fully engage in all aspects of foundation repair. Seeing the opportunity to better serve our customers in need of foundation repair, we underwent extensive training and certification.
We still have a continuing commitment to training and education. Our goal is to always be at the leading edge of new technology. This philosophy has resulted in tremendous company growth. The growth is also due largely to our loyal customers whom we are indebted for their recommendations to friends and neighbors.
Our professional estimators, competent office staff and highly qualified work crews are here to serve you. We have invested millions of dollars in equipment and plan to continue to operate out of our fourteen thousand square foot facility in Carlisle, PA for many years to come.
Our roots as a masonry and concrete contractor, along with decades of research, training, and development, have set us apart from others who have since entered into the foundation repair business. As I believed 30 years ago, honesty with customers and quality work is the right way to do business.

Will knows just what it takes to level any concrete slab or raise any foundation back to its original beauty and safety. He has been with A-1 Central PA since 2014. He understands intimately how concrete moves, and what it takes to get it back in the right place. If he is on your job, you know it’ll be done right.
Andrew and Mitch came (towards the end of a long day for them) to look at some big cracks in one of our walls. They looked at the entire house just to be sure, then explained that the cracks were due to normal settling and not a serious structural issue. They explained exactly what was happening with our wall, they did NOT try to sell us any work, and they didn't charge a thing. We are relieved and VERY grateful. If we ever have concerns about our foundation/structure in the future, we'll call them first.
