Are you passionate about empowering others and making an impact?

A-1 Concrete Leveling is seeking a creative, mechanically minded problem-solver to join our team as a Technical Training and Operations Specialist. In this hybrid role, you will be the crucial bridge between our technical equipment and the nationwide network of franchisees who use it. You will lead our franchise support efforts from our corporate headquarters just outside of Louisville, Kentucky.

This is a unique opportunity to be both a mentor and a problem solver, directly contributing to the success of our nationwide franchise network. This role is for a "doer"—someone who takes pride in owning the details, from developing a new training resource to shipping a critical part.

This is a Hybrid Role for a Creative Problem-Solver

This is not a typical desk job, and it is not a pure warehouse role. Your day could include filming a "How-To" video on a smartphone, researching a new valve with a vendor, and personally shipping a critical part to a location in need.

The Breakdown: How You Will Spend Your Time

To ensure this role is the perfect fit, we want to be transparent about the workload:

  • 50% Training Development & Content Creation: You are the "University" of A-1 Concrete. You will develop a curriculum and create content that translates technical and mechanical issues into easy-to-understand videos or written guides (e.g., filming a 2-minute clip on "How to clean a pump" or updating a PDF manual).

  • 50% Vendor Relations, Logistics & R&D: You are the detective. You will source parts, negotiate pricing with manufacturers, and research new tools to improve our fleet. You need to understand how our trucks work to buy the right parts for them. As part of our lean team, you will personally handle the daily shipping queue—printing labels via Shopify, pulling parts from inventory, and boxing them up for shipment.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Content Development

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance training materials, including instructional videos, written guides, and step-by-step manuals to support franchisee operations (with support from our videographer and marketing team).
  • Collaborate closely with franchisees to identify training needs and operational challenges.
  • Continuously refine training programs based on feedback, performance data, and industry best practices.
  • Develop proficiency in our unique all-in-one truck system for concrete leveling, providing expert guidance to franchisees on truck operations and troubleshooting to ensure consistent service quality.

Parts & Inventory Management

  • Source and negotiate pricing with manufacturers and vendors for equipment, fabricated parts, tools, and operational materials.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
  • Order, receive, and stock parts, keeping accurate inventory records and managing restocking schedules.

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

  • Process and fulfill franchisee orders for parts, tools, and materials.
  • Package products, print shipping labels, and coordinate deliveries for efficient and accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in training or technical content creation (written and video).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments and build strong relationships with franchisees.
  • Proficiency or a strong baseline understanding of truck operations and maintenance. Willingness to learn and grow in this area is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
Background in vendor management, inventory control, or order fulfillment.

Bonus Skills (These are not required, but would make you stand out):

  • Experience with video capture and editing (smartphone-level proficiency is sufficient) and/or passion for learning and growing in this area.
  • Mechanical or technical aptitude (engine repair, hydraulics, etc.).
  • Desire to contribute ideas and solutions that enhance the franchisee experience.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
  • Opportunities for career growth and professional development.
  • Hands-on experience in both training and operations.
  • The chance to work closely with franchise owners and make a meaningful impact.
  • Collaboration with a supportive corporate team, including access to team members with marketing, videography, and writing expertise.

If you’re passionate about developing impactful training content, logistics, and helping franchisees succeed, we want to hear from you!
